ScriptForge can now work directly inside Codex and Claude Code. Our new MCP connection lets subscribers send screenplay work to ScriptForge from the AI assistant they already use. You can upload a script, choose a report, follow its progress and collect the finished result without switching back and forth between tools.

What is MCP? MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It gives an AI assistant a secure, structured way to use another service on your behalf. Codex or Claude Code can ask ScriptForge to perform specific actions after you sign in and approve the connection. This gives your assistant a direct route to the same ScriptForge reports, proofreading tools and account controls available on the website.

What you can ask ScriptForge to do: see which reports are available on your plan; upload a PDF screenplay and order a report; upload a Final Draft or ForgePad project for proofreading; check whether a job has finished; read a completed report or download the corrected screenplay; and view your projects, subscription status and available credits.

You could ask, “Upload this screenplay and run a Coverage Report in ScriptForge,” or “Proofread this Final Draft project in UK English and apply clear spelling and grammar corrections.”

Your account stays in control. Projects, scripts and results remain attached to your normal ScriptForge account, and every request is checked against your subscription, credits and report permissions. Your AI assistant does not receive ScriptForge’s private OpenAI key, and report generation remains inside ScriptForge.

To connect, open Connect AI from your ScriptForge sidebar or visit scriptforge.art/mcp. Choose Codex or Claude Code, copy the setup command, sign in and allow access. Setup only needs to be completed once on each computer.

Writers use different tools at different stages of a draft. Some live in Final Draft. Some organise their work in ForgePad. Others use Codex or Claude Code to manage files, compare versions or work through a rewrite. This connection lets ScriptForge fit into that wider workflow while handling the specialist screenplay analysis and proofreading behind the scenes.

The MCP connection is available now for ScriptForge subscribers. Open Connect AI in your account to get started.
