Introducing the ScriptForge Screenwriting Guides
Published 14 July 2026 by ScriptForge Editorial
We’ve launched the ScriptForge Screenwriting Guides—a free library of 57 practical lessons covering the craft, process and business of screenwriting.
The library follows the whole writing journey, from finding a premise and developing characters to fixing a slow middle, rewriting a draft and approaching the industry. It includes guides on structure, dialogue, pacing, formatting, genre, feedback, screenplay competitions, pitching, cold emailing and much more.
Each lesson explains the idea in plain language, highlights common trouble spots and gives you something practical to try on your own screenplay. The guides are also connected, making it easy to move from one problem to the next. A pacing issue, for example, might lead you to character goals, scene objectives or structure.
You don’t have to read everything in order. Start with whatever part of the script is giving you grief today.
Whether you’re beginning your first screenplay or preparing a finished draft for the industry, the library is there whenever you need a little direction.
